A Legacy of Hate, Race, Division and Discord

A Legacy of Hate, Race, Division and Discord
I find it amusing Donald Trump is routinely derided as “divisive” and hateful when his predecessor set race relations back by 50 years and weakened/disparaged America at nearly every opportune moment. For those rabid critics who “misremember”, it was Barack Obama who mocked middle-America voters as bitter, small town xenophobes needlessly clinging to their guns and bibles. If I may, when did supporting the Second Amendment, LEGAL immigration and honoring our nation’s founding Judeo-Christian values become a radical concept? And yet it was under his explicit direction the IRS admitted to singling out businesses and community organizations that identified as conservative, patriotic or even Christian. Yes, once again, nothing remotely discriminatory here. Why again did Homeland Security place proud, law-abiding citizens on the Terror Watch list by declaring “liberty lovers” as America’s greatest terrorist threat…in a country predicated upon liberty and amidst the horrific aftermath of 9/11, no less? The same government operatives who never punished Islamic businesses over their marriage beliefs and ignored the terror radicalization occurring within American mosques, harassed Hobby Lobby and Catholic churches for refusing to provide birth control or insurance coverage for abortions; a procedure that violated their faith and religious freedoms. Still not convinced yet? Of course not.
As much as Obama’s election was a watershed moment in American history, his proclivity for racial discord has been exponentially greater. He immediately politicized the cases of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, with little regard for the evidence or their criminal records, resulting in riots, destruction of property and further loss of life. Sadly, the former President made no such emotional tributes or pleas for justice after 25 year-old NYPD officer Brian Wilson was shot in the head or when Kathryn Steinle was murdered in San Francisco on July 1, 2015 by an illegal immigrant with seven felony convictions. In response, Democrats publicly vowed to save Sanctuary cities. Barack Obama sent sizable delegations to the funerals of all three black males, personally and very publicly mourned the passing of each individual, but failed to even mention the tragic death of American sniper Chris Kyle in February of 2013. Rather, the White House issued a statement commemorating the death of Whitney Houston later that month. When you’re busy bribing millions of minorities with free “Obama phones” using taxpayer money, who has the time for such colorblind statesmanship, or better yet, basic human empathy?
Anytime a sitting Commander-in-Chief plays golf during the funeral of General Harold Greene – the highest ranking service member killed in combat since Vietnam – no imagination is required to decipher his true loyalties. Mr. Obama’s incessant race-based rhetoric eventually gave rise to militant groups like Black Lives Matter and AntiFa, but more profoundly incited a partisan war on police which triggered an unprecedented wave of assassinations against law enforcement; including 5 officers gunned down in Dallas, Texas. Instead of bringing a troubled nation together, one increasingly fractured by his cynicism, anger and clear racial favoritism, he was content praising Colin Kaepernick for his “courageous” decision to kneel during the national anthem only a few months following the traumatic bloodshed. The same man who illuminated the White House in LGBT colors to spike the proverbial football of social justice, found no such nerve to honor those fallen officers murdered in cold blood while serving their communities.
Not to question the unifying theme of “Cops are Pigs” socks worn by a celebrated racist athlete, but did Barry ever condemn a single case of police brutality regarding a white, Hispanic, or Asian victim, justified or not, let alone publicly decry (without media coverage) a single cop murdered by a drug dealer or due to a violent suspect resisting arrest? No? I guess we should just be satisfied the media’s former Uniter-in-Chief spent hundreds of billions providing for and protecting illegals while our veterans slept in the streets or died waiting for inadequate medical care. Does it even matter the Obama administration denied the request and visa applications of countless Christians attempting to flee oppression in the Middle East and Indonesia in favor of transporting thousands of improperly vetted and/or tracked Muslim refugees into cities across America; many under the veil of night? After all, what American president in their right mind wouldn’t honor tyrannical Cuba as a progressive state, green-light extremist Iran’s nuclear aspirations – a country that vows to annihilate America and Israel on a daily basis – in addition to sending a $400 million dollar ransom payment, attempt to illegally transfer $221 million to the militant Palestinian Authority just before leaving office, characterize the murderous exploits of ISIS as the amateur actions of a “JV team”, or dine with the racist leaders of la Raza and the Muslim Brotherhood?
Any offended critic claiming Donald Trump is the most racially divisive and inflammatory leader in recent memory, must have been completely oblivious, asleep or complicit to the toxic rhetoric and subversive dealings of Barack Obama. At no point in our 241 year history has the needle of American politics moved as far left as it did during the course of his 8 year tenure. In fact, if his Marxist upbringing and radical beliefs received the same level of media scrutiny and hostility as his successor, he never would have even been nominated. Unless I’m completely foreign to the true nature of division and discrimination, nearly all of those who benefited from Obama’s ill-conceived policies and personal associations were either non-white, non-Christian/Jewish, openly hostile towards America, or all of the above. Are we talking about an equitable, patriotic leader defending the interests of all people - most notably the survival and sovereignty of America - or a bitter, divisive bigot who despises America’s heritage with his every breath and still seeks atonement by judging everything through the prism of race and wealth distribution? Until everyone is held to the same standard of accountability, offered the same level of innate respect, racism, sexism, and all other forms of hate will endure unchecked; especially when such distinctions are now repeatedly wielded as weapons to attack any dissenting opinion. It’s just too bad so many supposedly “educated” men and women at the forefront of our national media, entertainment world and social activism no longer have the desire or the decency to admit the difference because they’re still too preoccupied crying over an election.

The Time Is Now America...

To those Americans who want to see our country get back to the values that gave everyone the opportunity to prosper - The guy we prayed for, the guy we wanted to stand up against the political elite, the guy with principals who would stand alone and not succumb, the guy who would keep the Constitution close by and abide by it, a Godly man that understands that there is something bigger than himself is finally here and we are now suppose to believe that he is a bad guy because... he disagrees with the left, that he is owned by the banks because he borrowed money from himself to run for office, that he is bad because can't get along with the RINO's and Progressives in the GOP and thus won't be able to "cut a deal" - are we now suppose to be against ourselves - are we now suppose to give up our values because the left, the RINO's and the GOP establishment are throwing all sorts of falsehoods in our faces - I SAY NO - there is only one true conservative in this race and its time for everyone to look in the mirror and ask themselves what is important to them and who can best represent them in everything they believe - this is going to be a tough time for whomever is elected President as it is already being predicted a big recession is coming fast upon us in early 2017, maybe as big or bigger than 2008 - who will be best to lead the country, to pick up the pieces and push us through utilizing our true principals and morals as Americans and not dictate to us nor as some have, pick companies or individuals they want to succeed at the expense of the people - who will push to allow free enterprise to reign at all levels and not just the big corporations - who will protect the little guy and not their friends in politics nor big business - who will select constitutional conservative justices - these are questions you must ask yourself - we don't need another "hope and change" President who will do as they please and say whatever they have to so they can get elected or to be popular and then not have the ability to do the hard governing to make us all better - someone who would unite us and not divide us - take a look at Ted Cruz - stop believing the outlandish sound bites coming from people with something to gain with his demise - its all out there, you can find real facts about all the candidates - no one is perfect, but this is the man who can lead us through our current tough times and those that are on the horizon - we need principled leadership more than ever and we can do better than settle for someone that professes something today and something else tomorrow - sometimes the truth is hard to hear but its what we need to hear - lets get someone who will follow the rules and not surrender our republic to those who think they "know" better - I pray you give this some consideration.

Why all the Masss Shootings under Obama's Watch...?

So why has there been such an up-tick of shootings, particularly mass shootings under Obama?

After every shooting we have heard rhetoric from the media and the President why we should ban guns with all sorts of wild statements like "the American murder rate is roughly 15 times that of other wealthy countries, which have tougher laws controlling private ownership of guns." NYT, Dec 2012 - Well now, that quote has morphed over the years where they use to say "civilized" countries its changed to "wealthy" countries AND where it was "gun" murders its now "overall" murder - interesting - they are always trying to spin it any way they can.  While our murder rate as of 2011 was 4.7 per 100,000 people, a rate that is high, no where are we even close to being "15 times" that of other "wealthy" and "civilized" countries - most had rates between 0.7 and 2.5 per 100,000.

We also hear statements like, "Gun control has worked very successfully in Britain, in Australia, in Japan.  Japan has the toughest gun control in the world. They have two or three murders a year.  You have 11,000 to 12,000." Piers Morgan, Dec 2012 - Again, interesting.  There are a myriad reasons for why there is crime and murder in a society and the availability of guns is just a small part of that.  In Piers' home of London, England they have a history of very little crime - in 1904 when London had 7 million people and was the envy of the world they reported just two gun murders and five armed robberies - cultures are different.  However, for countries that abruptly changed their rules regarding gun ownership or gun carrying, there was significant changes that happened right after the changes took place.  What changes?  In every single place that all guns or handguns were banned, murder rates went up.  Even in England there was an increase of violent crime and murder after they took all the guns.  Fed up with the increases they expanded their police force and unsurprisingly, the crime rate went down - more police less crime, go figure - however, the crime rate remained higher than before their Firearms Act.

We hear that, "40 percent of gun sales now take place privately, including most guns that are later used in crimes." NYT, Jan 14, 2013 - Chuck Schumer (D-NY) goes further saying its "48 percent of gun sales."  The truth however is that both of these statistics are way off as the real number is less than 10%.  Much of the data used for these high numbers was from a phone survey done over 20 years ago and of those interviewed only 10 percent even answered the question of where they obtained the gun so there are many red flags as to the validity of the statistics.  The President oft times sites these same statistics pertaining to "all transfers of firearms", not just purchases, so it includes inheritance and one family member giving a gun to another family member - not exactly what they are trying to insinuate now is it.

But, what is happening now under Obama?

The following was compiled using the database over at Mother Jones on mass shootings in the U.S. from 1982—2015, up to and including the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon on October 1st, 2015. It also includes the Wikipedia lists for mass shootings in the United States by year and postal killings in the U.S.

The  following  analysis  considers  the  FBI’s  definition  of  a  mass  murder,  which is defined as “a number of  murders (four or more) occurring  during the same incident, with no distinctive time period between the murders”.

When all incidents where four or more people were shot in a single event are broken out by president going back to Reagan (considering the database only stretches back to 1982), there just so happens to have been a startling increase in mass shootings since Obama, the most pro-gun control president America has had in modern history, took office.

Mass Shootings under the Last Five Presidents

Ronald Reagan
: 1981-1989 (8 years) 11 mass shootings
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 5

George H. W. Bush: 1989-1993 (4 years) 12 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 3

Bill Clinton
: 1993-2001 (8 years) 23 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 4

George W. Bush: 2001-2009 (8 years) 20 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 5

Barrack H. Obama
: 2009-2015 (in 7th year) 162 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 18

Look at the difference between all other presidents and Barack Obama.  This is what the above looks like on a chart:

Notice anything here? We’re talking about a more than six-fold increase from the number of mass shootings in the eight years Bush Jr. was president compared to the last seven years under Obama, and his 2nd term isn’t even up yet!

Not only that, but the number of mass shootings where the shooter killed eight or more people has also increased rather significantly:

What is going on here?

Obviously this isn’t so easily simplified as more guns in the hands of more crazy people, the way the media likes to spin it. We have more gun laws now than ever before. Less types of guns are legally available to the average citizen than ever before. We also have more “gun-free zones,” zones where, just by the way, most of these shootings happen (because mass shooters do not follow laws or care about zones, obviously). So that’s not it.

We have debated whether or not antidepressant medications are playing a role in these events. Even a cursory glance at the SSRI stories school shootings database would suggest there is some substantial evidence behind this theory. We know that many of these mass shooters were either on psychotropic medications at the time of the shooting, or withdrawing from them.

However, Prozac was approved for use in the United States back in 1987. Antidepressant medications have been around and in widespread use in America for decades now. That factor alone cannot entirely explain all these mass shootings recently.

Not to mention that five out of the 12 deadliest mass shootings in American history have happened not just since Barack Obama became president, but just under his first term as president alone. That’s nearly half.

Something else is going on here.

So… what is it?

Perhaps one false flag just isn’t enough in a country that has been built upon a Constitution with a Bill of Rights and a 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Perhaps it can only be killed death-by-a-thousand-cuts style.

Now Obama says gun control will be his #1 top issue of focus for the last year of his final term as president.

He says his biggest frustration has been his inability to pass more gun control legislation.

He condemns these “routine” events and calls for more gun control each time another one happens. After the recent Planned Parenthood shooting, he said, “we can’t let this become the new normal… enough is enough.”

But when did it become the new normal? While the 2nd Amendment continues to be attacked each and every time another mass shooting occurs, just realize something: these events were never this “routine” until Obama became president.

Here is another article about Valerie Jarrett and her family - what do you think about her, her family and their backgrounds, having so much influence in our federal government - is it a good thing?

FBI Files Document Communism in Valerie Jarrett’s Family

JUNE 22, 2015

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) files obtained by Judicial Watch reveal that the dad, maternal grandpa and father-in-law of President Obama’s trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, were hardcore Communists under investigation by the U.S. government.

Jarrett’s dad, pathologist and geneticist Dr. James Bowman, had extensive ties to Communist associations and individuals, his lengthy FBI file shows. In 1950 Bowman was in communication with a paid Soviet agent named Alfred Stern, who fled to Prague after getting charged with espionage. Bowman was also a member of a Communist-sympathizing group called the Association of Internes and Medical Students. After his discharge from the Army Medical Corps in 1955, Bowman moved to Iran to work, the FBI records show.

According to Bowman’s government file the Association of Internes and Medical Students is an organization that “has long been a faithful follower of the Communist Party line” and engages in un-American activities. Bowman was born in Washington D.C. and had deep ties to Chicago, where he often collaborated with fellow Communists. JW also obtained documents on Bowman from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) showing that the FBI was brought into investigate him for his membership in a group that “follows the communist party line.” The Jarrett family Communist ties also include a business partnership between Jarrett’s maternal grandpa, Robert Rochon Taylor, and Stern, the Soviet agent associated with her dad.

Jarrett’s father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett, was also another big-time Chicago Communist, according to separate FBI files obtained by JW as part of a probe into the Jarrett family’s Communist ties. For a period of time Vernon Jarrett appeared on the FBI’s Security Index and was considered a potential Communist saboteur who was to be arrested in the event of a conflict with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). His FBI file reveals that he was assigned to write propaganda for a Communist Party front group in Chicago that would “disseminate the Communist Party line among…the middle class.”

It’s been well documented that Valerie Jarrett, a Chicago lawyer and longtime Obama confidant, is a liberal extremist who wields tremendous power in the White House. Faithful to her roots, she still has connections to many Communist and extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood. Jarrett and her family also had strong ties to Frank Marshal Davis, a big Obama mentor and Communist Party member with an extensive FBI file.

JW has exposed Valerie Jarrett’s many transgressions over the years, including her role in covering up a scandalous gun-running operation carried out by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Last fall JW obtained public records that show Jarrett was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious, a disastrous experiment in which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed guns from the U.S. to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels. Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of hundreds of weapons which have been used in an unknown number of crimes, including the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.

In 2008 JW got documents linking Valerie Jarrett, who also served as co-chairman of Obama’s presidential transition team, to a series of real estate scandals, including several housing projects operated by convicted felon and Obama fundraiser/friend Antoin “Tony” Rezko. According to the documents obtained from the Illinois Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago slum projects operated by Rezko.

Who is Valerie Jarrett? - Part IV of IV

Submitted by:  Veronica Coffin

Why is she running our country?

Collaborating with the National Endowment for the Arts to Advance the Obama Agenda

On May 12, 2009, numerous employees in Jarrett’s office—and possibly Jarrett herself—helped co-host a strategy meeting organized by the Nathan Cummings Foundation. At this event, some 60 artists were—in the words of one of the meeting’s organizers—“challenged to come up with promising and attractive ideas about how artists can work for the [Obama] administration’s agenda.” For details about the meeting and its attendees, click here.

The meeting was led by a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) official (Mario Garcia Durham), two representatives of First Lady Michelle Obama (Joseph Reinstein and Trooper Sanders), White House arts czar Kareem Dale (who reported to Valerie Jarrett), and three members of what was then known as the Office of Public Liason (headed by Jarrett). Those three were Buffy Wicks, Tina Tchen, and Mike Strautmanis (President Obama’s former chief counsel and a onetime paralegal at Michelle Obama’s law firm).

In the meeting, Strautmanis encouraged the group to think of “ways to communicate” the Obama administration’s agenda “with people and how to motivate them culturally.” Buffy Wicks asked briefing participants to “think through how their networks and organizations can participate in areas such as the arts in education, healthcare and preventative care, energy and environment, or economic opportunity.” And Tina Tchen added, “The administration wants to sustain energy from the election process and turn it toward the agenda.”

The notes of the meeting seem to suggest that Valerie Jarrett was present at some point as well.
Other noteworthy attendees included:

  • Sally Kohn: This community organizer was a senior campaign strategist at the Center for Community Change and a former Ford Foundation employee. She likened the artists’ efforts to “a movement to create a climate for change, banging down that door.” In September 2007, Kohn had written an entry at Daily Kos praising Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for “speak[ing] some blunt truths about the Bush Administration” and the “horrors” for which it was allegedly responsible.
  • Alli Chagi-Starr: With ties to such groups as Green For All, the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Global Exchange, and Code Pink, this activist helped bring protesters to the violent anti-WTO demonstrations in Seattle in 1999.
  • Judith F. Baca: This artist once noted that some of her Los Angeles-area public murals “were about drug abuse, including the government-supported influx of drugs into the communities, including the Las Tresissue in Los Angeles, where three people were imprisoned for shooting a narcotics agent who was bringing narcotics into the community.”
  • John Malpeade: This founder of the Los Angeles Poverty Department traveled to Bolivia in July 2009 to perform Agents & Assets, a play focusing on “CIA involvement in cocaine trafficking into the Los Angeles area in the 1980s in order to support the Contra war in Nicaragua.” He once declared, “The hoarding of wealth and power results in the gross inability of American society to efficiently allocate its abundant resources to generate social capital or well-being for its citizenry.”
  • Ian Inaba: The co-executive director of Citizen Engagement Lab, Inaba produced rapper Eminem’s videos “Mosh” and “White America.” As a blogger for the Guerrilla News Network, he eulogized Gary Webb, the man who, in a series of articles for the San Jose Mercury News, popularized the false story of the U.S. government selling crack to inner city youth to finance the Iran-Contra scandal.
  • Dudley Cocke: This director of the Roadside Theater in Kentucky proudly boasts of having worked “with organizers with some training in the Saul Alinsky school — for example, the Industrial Areas Foundation.” Cocke shares their ideology.
  • Rha Goddess: This female hip-hop artist and Code Pink ally declares, “I use my art as a vehicle for liberation and social change.” She co-founded the Sista II Sista Freedom School for Young Women of Color and is the former international spokeswoman for the Universal Zulu Nation (UZN), a group whose beliefs are expressed in a manifesto that echoes the Nation of Islam’s “white devils” theology: “To put one race over the other because you feel your one race is better than the other race) is wrong and when you do this, you indeed have become a race of Devils, causing destruction to everything that is life or truth on this planet so-called Earth or in the Universe.” UZN’s doctrinal statement contains numerous references to “this planet so-called Earth,” and to “bloodsuckers” in “secret societies.”
  • Kim Hastreiter: This editor and co-founder of the PAPER Publishing Company once wrote: “I kept thinking about how after September 11th, every artist I knew agreed that the horror we had witnessed was actually a major piece of performance art that could not possibly have been conceived by a lawyer or a politician, but more likely by a jihadist with a wild imagination and an artist’s mind.”
  • Matthew Brady: He is the creative director of Global Inheritance, a group that seeks to use “the power of creativity to create and push for progressive social change while rejecting conflict.”
  • Milly Hawk Daniel: She was vice president for communications at PolicyLink, a self-described “national research and action institute advancing economic and social equity.”
Also in attendance were Maria Teresa Petersen, founding executive director of Voto Latino; Caron Atlas and Ryan Friedrichs of State Voices; Robert “Biko” Baker, executive director of the League of Young Voters; Michelle Miller, manager of popular media organizing at the SEIU; Denise Brown, executive director of the Leeway Foundation; and Michelle Coffey, senior philanthropic advisor with the Tides Foundation.

More Examples of Jarrett’s Influence on the Obama Administration

When President Obama publicly stated that Massachusetts police had acted “stupidly” in arresting Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates for disorderly conduct in July 2009 (click here for details), Jarrett urged Obama to walk back those remarks because she worried that they would be perceived as disrespectful to police.

In his book Leading From Behind, author Richard Miniter reveals that Jarrett, prior to the May 2011 U.S. killing of Osama bin Laden, repeatedly urged President Obama not to kill the al Qaeda leader, prompting Obama to cancel the mission on three separate occasions—in January, February, and March of 2011. Jarrett was concerned about the political damage that could result if the mission were to fail.

In 2010-11 Jarrett promoted the California-based solar-power company Solyndra, where one of her wealthiest Chicago connections, billionaire George Kaiser—a leading Obama bundler—held a 35% share in the company. On Jarrett’s advice, President Obama famously visited and publicly extolled Solyndra in 2010, even though auditors were already warning about the abysmal state of its finances. In September 2011 the company declared bankruptcy, but not before it had received a $535 million government-backed loan.

In September 2011, Jarrett said the following about what she viewed as the proper role of government: “We have to give people a livelihood so they can provide for their families…. His [President Obama’s] is a moral vision. It’s a vision based very deeply in values and taking care of ‘the least of these.’ And making sure that we are creating a country that’s a country for everybody, not just for the very, very wealthy. We are working hard to lift people out of poverty and give them a better life, a footing, and that’s what government is supposed to do.” A September 2012 New York Times report identifies Jarrett as the person responsible for a number of controversial Obama Administration policy decisions, including: (a) the Affordable Care Act’s call for an insurance mandate for contraceptives, abortifacients, and sterilization procedures; (b) President Obama’s decision to sue the state of Arizona for its immigration-enforcement statute (SB-1020); and (c) the president’s decision to allow illegal immigrants to apply for work permits.

In March 2012, Jarrett was a major presenter at J Street’s Third Annual Conference. In an interview with Walter Isaacson at the 2012 Aspen Ideas Festival, Jarrett recalled a meeting in which she had participated a year-and-a-half earlier with four “Dream Act kids”—young illegal immigrants who had walked from Miami to Washington, DC as part of the 2010 “Trail of Dreams” program sponsored by such groups as Students Working for Equal Rights and the Florida Immigrant Coalition. Said Jarrett:
“I call them kids. They’re actually young adults. They walked from Florida to Washington. Walked. And they wanted to see the president. And of course they couldn’t come into the White House because they’re here illegally, and they would have been picked up. And so I ventured across the street, across the park, to a church and I met them in the church. And I’ve now met with them four or five times. And each time I would leave in tears. Because they are exactly the kind of people we would want in this country…. They are the best that we have.”

In October 2012 it was revealed that for several months, Jarrett, who had no experience in international negotiations, had been leading secret negotiations with representatives of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in an effort to develop normalized relations between the U.S. and Iran.

A few days before the November 2012 presidential election, a representative from Jarrett’s office quoted Jarrett as having told several senior staffers the following: “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

Reports of Jarrett’s Role in Leaking the Information That Sparked the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal

In early March 2015, it was reported that throughout her entire four-year (2009-13) tenure as Secretary of State (SOS), Hillary Clinton — in baltant violation of government regulations — had never acquired or used a government email account, and instead had transmitted all of her official government correspondences via a personal email address that she registered on the very same day as her confirmation hearings for SOS began. The personal email address — hdr22@clintonemail.com — traced back to a private email server that was situated inside Mrs. Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, New York. (For additional details of this scandal, click here.) In mid-March, longtime author and journalist Ed Klein reported that according to his sources, Valerie Jarrett had leaked this information — embarrassing and potentially damaging to Clinton’s political aspirations — to the press. According to Klein, Jarrett “did so through people outside the administration, so the story couldn’t be traced to her or the White House.” Added Klein:
  • “In addition, at Jarrett’s behest, the State Department was ordered to launch a series of investigations into Hillary’s conduct at Foggy Bottom, including the use of her expense account, the disbursement of funds, her contact with foreign leaders and her possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation. Six separate probes into Hillary’s performance have been going on at the State Department. I’m told that the email scandal was timed to come out just as Hillary was on the verge of formally announcing that she was running for president — and that there’s more to come….”
  • “The sabotage is part of an ongoing feud between the two Democrat powerhouses. Last fall, during the run-up to the 2014 midterm elections, Jarrett was heard to complain bitterly that the Clintons were turning congressmen, senators, governors and grassroots party members against Obama by portraying him as an unpopular president who was an albatross around the neck of the party. Jarrett was said to be livid that most Democrats running for election refused to be seen campaigning with the president. She blamed the Clintons for marginalizing the president and for trying to wrest control of the Democratic Party away from Obama. And she vowed payback.”
  • “My sources say Jarrett saw an opportunity to hit back hard when Monica Lewinsky suddenly resurfaced after years of living in obscurity. Jarrett discreetly put out word to some friendly members of the press that the White House would look with favor if they gave Monica some ink and airtime.”
  • “Relations have gotten even frostier in the past few months. After the Democrats took a shellacking in the midterms, the White House scheduled a meeting with Hillary Clinton. When she showed up in the Oval Office, she was greeted by three people — the president, Jarrett and Michelle Obama. With his wife and Jarrett looking on, Obama made it clear that he intended to stay neutral in the presidential primary process — a clear signal that he wouldn’t mind if someone challenged Hillary for the nomination. ‘Obama and Valerie Jarrett will go to any lengths to prevent Hillary from becoming president,’ a source close to the White House told me. ‘They believe that Hillary, like her husband, is left of center, not a true-blue liberal.'”
  • “‘With Obama’s approval,’ this source continued, ‘Valerie has been holding secret meetings with Martin O’Malley [the Democratic former governor of Maryland] and [Massachusetts Sen.] Elizabeth Warren. She’s promised O’Malley and Warren the full support of the White House if they will challenge Hillary for the presidential nomination.'”
Alliance With the “Black Lives Matter” Movement

On September 16, 2015, Jarrett and some other administration officials met at the White House with Black Lives Matter activists Brittney Packnett, DeRay McKesson, Johnetta Elzie, Phillip Agnew, and Jamye Wooten. In a subsequent tweet directed to Miss Packnett, Jarrett wrote: “Great meeting, Brittany. Truly appreciate your leadership!!”

Who is Valerie Jarrett? - Part III of IV

Why is she running our country?

Valerie Jarrett Enters Politics

Valerie Jarrett entered Chicago politics in 1987 as Deputy Corporation Counsel for Finance and Development in the administration of Harold Washington, the city’s first African-American mayor. Jarrett’s father-in-law, whom The Washington Post called “a key influence in [Harold] Washington’s decision to run for the Chicago mayoralty,” may have facilitated Valerie’s rise through Chicago’s political ranks.

After Mayor Washington’s death in 1987, Valerie Jarrett served as deputy chief of staff for the next mayor, Richard M. Daley. During her tenure in that post, Jarrett met and befriended a young lawyer named Michelle Robinson, (the future Michelle Obama), who at the time was engaged to Barack Obama. In 1991 Jarrett and her colleague Susan Sher recruited Michelle to Chicago’s City Hall, and Jarrett quickly became a trusted confidante of both the Obamas.

From 1992 through 1995, Jarrett served the Daley administration as commissioner of the Department of Planning and Development. From 1995-2003, she chaired the Chicago Transit Board. Sometime in the early 1990s, Marilyn Katz, an activist/public-affairs consultant with close ties to City Hall—and a former Students for a Democratic Society radical—introduced Jarrett to Daniel Levin, a cousin of both Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) and Rep. Sander Levin (D-Michigan).

Slumlord Years

From 1995-2008 Jarrett worked for Daniel Levin’s real-estate firm, the Habitat Company. In 2007 Jarrett became Habitat’s president and CEO, drawing a $300,000 in salary plus $550,000 in deferred compensation.

From 2001-08, the Habitat Company managed Grove Parc Plaza, a federally subsidized, 504-unit public housing complex situated in a neighborhood that Barack Obama had represented for eight years as a state senator. But under Habitat’s management, Grove Parc fell into disrepair and became largely uninhabitable, plagued by a host of unaddressed problems such as collapsed roofs, fire damage, rodent infestation, and sewage backups. According to a 2008 Boston Globe report: “In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale—a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.” Eventually government inspectors seized control of the complex because of its horrid conditions.

Also under Jarrett’s stewardship, said the Globe, “Habitat … co-managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006, after city inspectors found widespread problems.”

But for Jarrett the news was not all bad. Indeed she became immensely wealthy while presiding over the aforementioned slum apartments. As of 2012 Jarrett owned an 11-percent equity interest in Kingsbury Plaza, a 46-story luxury apartment complex developed by the Habitat Company during 2005-07 at a cost exceeding $100 million. On her 2011 financial disclosure form, she valued that investment—which a Jarrett spokesman said was “a direct result of her 13 years working for Habitat”—at between $1 million and $5 million. According to a 2012 report in the Washington Free Beacon: “Cook County records show the Kingsbury property’s worth at approximately $27.2 million, but thanks to a series of legal appeals beginning in 2003, the land and building are assessed at a much lower value for tax purposes. Since 2008, the property has been designated a ‘special commercial structure’ and is taxed at a value of just $6.8 million, or 25 percent of the actual value. Asked how such a property could enjoy such a low taxable value, an official with the Cook County Assessor’s Office told theFree Beacon that the property’s owners ‘must have good attorneys.’”

Apart from her duties with the Habitat Compan, Jarrett from 2000-07 was a board member of the Chicago Stock Exchange. She also served stints as chair of the University of Chicago Medical Center’s Board of Trustees; vice chair of the University of Chicago’s Board of Trustees; a trustee of Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry; and a board of directors member of USG Corporation, a Chicago-based building-materials company.

Alliance With Barack Obama

Following Barack Obama’s victory in the 2008 presidential election, Jarrett co-chaired the Obama-Biden Transition Project. After that, she was appointed to a prominent position in the Obama administration: Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs. In this role, Jarrett was one of President Obama’s (and Mrs. Obama’s) closest and most trusted advisers. Consider the following observations, by a variety of informed sources, about Jarrett’s importance as an Obama advisor:
  • An Obama 2008 campaign official told the New York Times, “If you want [Barack Obama] to do something, there are two people [he’s] not going to say no to: Valerie Jarrett and Michelle Obama.”

  • Also in 2008, the aforementioned Susan Sher, who had helped Jarrett recruit Michelle Obama to the Chicago mayor’s office in 1991, emphasized “how incredibly instrumental [Jarrett will] be in virtually everything” in the White House.

  • In July 2009, President Obama himself told New York Times reporter Robert Draper, “I trust her [Jarrett] completely … She is family.” Obama said also that he trusted Jarrett “to speak for me, particularly when we’re dealing with delicate issues.” When asked, the President admitted that he was in the habit of soliciting Jarrett’s input on his every decision.

  • The New York Times described Jarrett as Obama’s “closest friend in the White House,” his “envoy,” his “emissary,” his “all-purpose ambassador,” and the “ultimate Obama insider.”

  • Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank says that Jarrett’s connection to Obama is “deep and personal,” calling her “the real center of Obama’s inner circle.” Milbank also describes Jarrett as Obama’s “longtime mentor and friend,” and as someone in a “position of unparalleled influence over the president.”

  • Obama’s former White House communications director, Anita Dunn, says: “Her [Jarrett’s] role since she has been at the White House is one of the broadest and most expansive roles that I think has ever existed in the West Wing.”

  • Chicago tycoon Martin Nesbitt says that Jarrett establishes both Michelle and Barack Obama’s “whole notion of authenticity.” According to Nesbitt, Jarrett channels the Obamas’ inner voice, telling them, for instance: “That’s not you. You wouldn’t say that. Somebody else is saying that. Barack Obama wouldn’t say that.”

  • According to a November 2014 New Republic report: “Jarrett holds a key vote on Cabinet picks … and has an outsize say on ambassadorships and judgeships. She helps determine who gets invited to the First Lady’s Box for the State of the Union, who attends state dinners and bill-signing ceremonies, and who sits where at any of the above. She has placed friends and former employees in important positions across the administration—’you can be my person over there,’ is a common refrain. And Jarrett has been known to enjoy the perks of high office herself. When administration aides plan ‘bilats,’ the term of art for meetings of two countries’ top officials, they realize that whatever size meeting they negotiate—nine by nine, eight by eight, etc.—our [the U.S.] side will typically include one less foreign policy hand, because Jarrett has a standing seat at any table that includes the president.”

  • Jarrett herself is wholy cognizant of the influence she wields with Obama. “We have kind of a mind meld,” she said in 2009. “And chances are, what he wants to do is what I’d want to do.” On another occasion Jarrett told Vogue magazine, “I kind of know what makes them [the Obamas] who they are.”
Jarrett is deeply concerned with racial issues. After the tape recordings of Jeremiah Wright’s racist, anti-American diatribes threatened to sink Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, it was Jarrett who encouraged Obama to give his “race speech” at Constitution Hall. African-American administration staffers have said that without Jarrett’s patronage, “their opinions and the often-legitimate concerns voiced by black leaders like [Al] Sharpton would have been thoroughly disregarded by the white-dominated senior staff.”

When future White House press secretary Robert Gibbs tried to downplay Obama’s assertion (during the 2008 presidential campaign) that Republicans were emphasizing the fact that Obama “doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills,” Jarrett instructed white staffers: “You guys, you’re not getting this issue right.” After Jarrett’s intervention, candidate Obama told his white staffers that they were too “gun-shy on race issues.” According to a campaign source, “[M]oving forward, the candidate made it very clear to us that we were just a bunch of white people who didn’t get it—which, by the way, was true.”

After Obama’s inauguration in January 2009, Jarrett successfully pushed to loosen restrictions barring government officials from meeting with lobbyists, a rule enshrined in Obama’s executive memo on the Recovery Act [stimulus bill], for fear that other “legitimate” concerns—raised by “civil rights organizations whose directors happen to be registered lobbyists—will not be heard.”

In early 2009 Jarrett lobbied President Obama to create the office of Chief Diversity Officer within the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a position filled soon thereafter by Mark Lloyd, an Alinskyite and a former senior fellow at the Center for American Progress.

Jarrett also helped recruit Obama’s regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, who supports the Fairness Doctrine and has argued that Americans should “celebrate tax day.”

Without Jarrett’s patronage, the self-identified communist revolutionary Van Jones would not have gotten his appointment as the Obama administration’s green jobs czar in March 2009. A White House official told Politicothat Jones “did not go through the traditional vetting process.” Instead, Jarrett interviewed Jones, a signal that she pushed for his appointment. Indeed, Jarrett gushed to the Netroots Nation conference in August 2009:
“We were so delighted to be able to recruit him [Van Jones] into the White House. We were watching him…for as long as he’s been active out in Oakland. And all the creative ideas he has. And so now, we have captured that, and we have all that energy in the White House.”
Moreover, Jarrett’s office approved the September 2009 invitation of Jameel Jaffer, the head of the ACLU’s “national security project,” to a White House Ramadan dinner. According to The American Spectator:
“Jaffer is a cause célèbre to the far left for his career of litigating against the United States in support of terrorists and radical Islamists, and has proudly touted his awards from groups like CAIR.“’We had other names on the list for invitations, but Jarrett’s office wanted Jaffer in the room. We were told it was important,’ says a White House source. ‘It was made clear that his presence was something senior folks here wanted to happen.’
“Jaffer has filed lawsuits challenging the FBI’s ‘national security letter’ authority [and] the constitutionality of warrantless wiretaps. [He] has been a leader in pushing for the shut down of Guantánamo Bay, and providing legal rights to terrorists held by the United States overseas in such countries as Iraq and Afghanistan. His efforts enabled the leaking of ‘torture photos’ out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and some sources inside the Central Intelligence Agency believe he was one of the lawyers who provided legal advice to the Department of Justice to pursue an investigation into enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA.”
